01The Situation

THE BEST PRODUCT
NO ONE HAD HEARD OF.

C6 Lab Grown Diamonds had built something the diamond industry hadn't seen before — a carbon-neutral lab-grown diamond foundry in Surat, India. The product was exceptional: chemically identical to mined diamonds, grown with renewable energy, and positioned to command premium prices in a rapidly growing global market.

The digital situation was the opposite. No website. No brand identity. No Google presence. No way for an international buyer — in the US, Europe, or Southeast Asia — to find them, evaluate them, or trust them enough to place an order. When they launched, they were functionally invisible.

In the lab-grown diamond market, credibility is everything. Buyers are committing significant capital to stones they haven't touched. If your digital presence doesn't communicate precision, integrity, and permanence, you don't get the call. C6 wasn't getting calls — not because they lacked the product, but because they had no platform to communicate it.

They came to us with a blank canvas and a clear ambition: build the digital infrastructure to compete globally. We had 8 weeks before their first trade show in the US.

02The Brief

C6 came with no existing brand assets — no logo, no colour palette, no typography. Everything had to be built from the ground up, and it all had to be right the first time. The trade show deadline was fixed. There was no room for a brand that needed iterating.

A complete brand identity, a conversion-engineered B2B website, an SEO strategy targeting international diamond buyers, and the foundational credibility infrastructure for global market entry.

The strategic insight: in the diamond trade, brand perception is product perception. We weren't just building a site. We were building the first impression of a company that would need to earn trust from buyers in New York, Dubai, Antwerp, and Mumbai simultaneously. Every design decision was made with that buyer in the room.

Positioning & Visual Identity

Mapped the visual landscape of premium diamond brands globally. Built C6's positioning around three pillars: precision (carbon-neutral, lab-controlled quality), transparency (certifications, process), and premium modernity. Developed logo, colour system, typography, and brand guidelines in two weeks.

Phase 02 · SEO Strategy
International Keyword Architecture

Identified the search terms international B2B diamond buyers use at each stage of the procurement process. Built a page architecture that captured high-intent searches across loose stones, wholesale, certification, and carbon-neutral positioning — terms competitors hadn't claimed.

Phase 03 · Web Design
B2B Buyer-Focused Design

Designed for the international trade buyer: product clarity, certification display, process transparency, and an inquiry flow that qualified buyers rather than just collecting leads. Desktop-first with full mobile parity — diamond buyers research on both.

Phase 04 · Build, Launch & SEO
Hand-Coded + 6 Months Ongoing SEO

Launched within 8 weeks. Then ran ongoing SEO for 6 months: content creation targeting buyer-intent terms, technical improvements, international schema, and link architecture. The organic traffic growth in that period was the compound return on the foundation we'd built.
